Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Tennessee whiskey is almost always charcoal mellowed before it ever reaches a barrel, with sugar maple stripping out the heavier notes and rounding off the edges. The whiskey comes back smoother, but quieter. Revival skips that step, because those edges are the whiskey. It spends a minimum of five years in new American oak in single-story warehouses where the temperature swings do the work, and it is bottled unfiltered, so you taste the grain and the wood exactly as the barrel left them.
